SIFT provides students with what could be their first exposure to the petroleum industry and provides the opportunities students use to build their networks for a career within the oil and gas industry. Through our job program, networking opportunities and course content, SIFT is an incredible opportunity.
How to apply:
SIFT targets 3rd year undergraduate students in geology, with consideration given to other geoscience specializations as well. The chosen student will be a representative of their university, and as such the application’s initial step is conducted by your university. Students selected by their universities will then submit their application package directly to the SIFT committee. SIFT participants will be selected based on academic accomplishment, extracurricular involvement, and interest in petroleum/sedimentary geology. If you have any questions about the application process, please send them to [email protected]
The Student Industry Field Trip continues to thrive based on the generosity of companies working in Western Canada and SIFT Alumni. For more information about sponsorship opportunities and how to get involved please contact Emma MacPherson [email protected]
