Volunteer Committee Descriptions

Education Committee

The CSPG Education Committee's mandate is to help members update their geological skills. Rather than competing with other educational institutions that offer courses in generalized skills such as log analysis, facies analysis, or seismic interpretation, the committee focuses on courses with a strong Canadian content.

To attract qualified instructors, the committee feels that instructor remuneration should follow industry standards. Courses will therefore are priced accordingly, rather than at large discounts as has happened in the past.
