On November 7, 2005 the CSPG, in association with the CSEG, APEGGA, and our corporate sponsors presented the 2005 Honorary Address: Climate Change? Past and Present. Our speakers were:

Kirk Johnson, Chief Curator and Chair of the Department of Earth Sciences, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, speaking on the reflection of climate changes in the fossil record. Dr Johnson has been with the Denver Museum since 1991, and has been instrumental in the development of the Museums award-winning exhibition Prehistoric Journey. Bob McDonald, host of CBC's Quirks and Quarks. Bob McDonald is an award-winning science reporter and also an author of science books for both adults and children, you may have read his work in the Globe and Mail, or Owl Magazine, among others. His latest book is Measuring the Earth with a Stick. McDonald will be speaking to us about how we can see climate change affecting the earth in the present and into the future.
