Division Profile

The Heavy Oil / Oil Sands Division was recently created in November 2007 to provide a forum for CSPG members who are interested in learning more about both the technology and geological reservoirs associated with the Western Canadian Basin. In addition, this forum will provide the opportunity for you and your peers to network, and share thoughts and ideas on this particular discipline.

Our meetings will take place at least once a month at 8:00 am, and there will be a complimentary continental breakfast supplied. The breakfast session will start at 8:00 am and finish by 9:00 am. Initially, depending on size, the event will be hosted by RPS Energy at 1400 - 800 5 Avenue SW, Calgary. There will be no cost associated with this event, and anyone may attend. Each month a different service company will sponsor the continental breakfast.
